Collection of Artworks at The National Art Gallery
The National Art Gallery is the privileged guardian of a collection of artworks showcasing the diversity of Visual Arts in Mauritius. The institution has started acquiring artworks for its collection since its very creation in 2001. With regards to its historical and cultural relevance and aesthetic merit, the National Collection is a significantly valuable asset. The artworks constituting the National Collection were partly donated by Mauritian and international artists following Art exhibitions and competitions organised by the institution; and through acquisition.
